MACAO, April 14 (Xinhua) -- The monthly income of all households in China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) reached 10.62 billion patacas (about 1.31 billion U.S. dollars) in the survey year of 2017/2018, up 20.5 percent in real terms from 2012/2013, higher than the 9.4-percent growth in household expenditure, the SAR's statistic service said in a demographic survey Sunday.

The Statistics and Census Service (DSEC) released the latest results of the Household Budget Survey, showing that the household average monthly income stood at 55,497 patacas (about 6,870 U.S. dollars) and the monthly disposable income was 52,314 patacas (about 6,476 U.S. dollars), up by 14.1 percent and 12.7 percent in real terms respectively.

In 2017/2018, monthly consumption expenditure of all households in Macao amounted to 6.79 billion patacas (about 841 million U.S. dollars), up by 9.4 percent in real terms. The average monthly consumption expenditure was 35,488 patacas (about 4,393 U.S. dollars) per household, an increase of 3.6 percent in real terms.
