JAKARTA, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Indonesian football association (PSSI) planned to hold an extraordinary congress to elect a chairman after its acting chief was named suspect in national football league match-fixing fraud, a PSSI executive committee member said on Wednesday.

The PSSI chairman election would be held after presidential election slated for April this year, PSSI executive committee (Exco) member Gusti Randa said. He added that PSSI election commission would be formed prior to the chairman election.

"PSSI election commission would be set up sometimes between May or June. The PSSI chairman election can be held later after it operates," Randa said.

PSSI acting chairman Joko Driyono was declared a suspect by police's anti match-fixing task force last week following the finding of PSSI documents closely related to the case investigated by the task force.

Besides the documents, police also found several fund transfer receipts and cash money amounted 300 million rupiah (about 21,362 U.S. Dollars) in Driyono's apartment suspected of related to the football match-fixing activities.

The task force's spokesman Argo Yuwono said on Tuesday that Driyono has admitted to have issued orders in damaging and take out documents kept in PSSI Discipline Commission office.

The order was done by three of Driyono's subordinates.

Including Driyono, the task force has declared suspects against 15 committed in match-fixing fraud in national football league.

They comprised of PSSI exco members, regional PSSI officials, PSSI discipline commission official, referees, PSSI official in charge of assigning referees and Driyono's subordinates.

Driyono may face two years plus four years of imprisonment for burglary, trespassing other's property and damaging the evidences of crime.

Driyono was appointed as the acting chairman to replace PSSI chairman Edi Rahmayadi who resigned from his post last month following mounting pressures from the public over PSSI failures in recent years.

The appointment on Driyono, who was Edi's deputy in PSSI, was to comply with FIFA stature that requires such a procedure to replace the resigning football association chairman.

Edi's resignation was also conducted amid intensive investigation into the match-fixing allegation carried out by the police's task force.
