DOHA, Nov. 3 (Xinhua) -- Simone Biles won gold on floor exercise and bronze on balance beam on Saturday as the American star wrapped up six medals, including four golds at the the world gymnastics championships held in Doha, Qatar.

"I am definitely very happy, especially to win a medal in every event," said Biles, who won the floor exercise with 14.933 points. "No matter what color the medal, I'm really proud of myself. It feels really rewarding because I've put a lot of hard work and dedication into this sport, so I couldn't be happier. I'm really proud of my performances here. I wish some of them would have been better, but I'm really proud of the outcome."

Biles's teammate Morgan Hurd, who won gold with the U.S. women in the team event and bronze in the all-around competition, won the floor exercise silver while defending world champion Mai Murakami from Japan came third.

Women's balance beam was won by China's Liu Tingting with 14.533. Canada's Anne-Marie Padurariu won a silver, beating Biles to the third place.

"I just kept telling myself to calm down," said Liu. "I didn't think of winning a medal. I just believe in myself and tried my best. It's really incredible to win the title."

In men's part, Ri Se Gwang of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea won men's vault on 14.933. "I had no special thing. I was only focusing on my execution, to complete both vaults successfully. Every element I execute is not an easy one. They are very difficult, but I had full confidence that I could execute these difficult elements easily," said the 33-year-old Ri.

In parallel bars, China's Zou Jingyuan was unstoppable in defending his title on 16.433 while men's horizontal bar gold went to Epke Zonderland of the Netherlands.

The 2019 world championships will take place between Oct. 4-13 in Germany's Stuttgart.
