JAKARTA, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese athletes launched another gold rush at the 18th Asian Games, winning 10 golds to consolidate their leadership in the medal standings on Thursday.

Chinese divers extended their golden run in Jakarta as defending champion Si Yajie and world champion Peng Jianfeng claimed victories in the women's 10m platform and men's 1m springboard respectively.

The 19-year-old former world champion Si proved she is still the best in the women's 10m platform as she took the lead after the first three dives, winning with a total of 405.45 points.

Si became the eldest Asiad champion of the event since the last four winners were all younger than 16-year-old, with Lao Lishi at 14 in 2002, Wang Xin 14 in 2006, Hu Yadan 14 in 2010, herself Si 15 in 2014.

"It was a hard battle and I was under huge pressure before the competition. I concentrated on my dives instead of the score board during the final," said Si, the 2013 world champion and runner-up in the Rio Olympic Games.

In the men's 1m springboard, Peng and teammate Liu Chengmin finished as top two with 462.15 and 432.85 respectively.

Elsewhere, Chinese table tennis pair Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha came back from two games down to triumph in an all-Chinese final against Lin Gaoyuan/Wang Manyu and claim the mixed doubles gold.

"We made full preparation before the match, so we didn't feel nervous at all despite our two-game deficit. My partner told me to just fight for every point," said Sun.

"We had good partnership at the Games. The gold medal will undoubtedly boost our confidence. Now I feel totally relieved," Wang said.

In athletics, Chen Yang won the women's discus throw gold for China. Her teammate Feng Bin added a silver.

China also brought in four golds from canoe events and two more from trampoline.

Now China lead the medal table with 112 gold, 76 silver and 53 bronze medals.
