BEIJING, June 28 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted near East Coast of Honshu, Japan at 2021 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 61.1 km, was initially determined to be at 40.24 degrees north latitude and 142.31 degrees east longitude. ■
