SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- South Korea's military said the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Tuesday fired several unidentified projectiles toward the East Sea.
South Korea's military said in a statement that it detected several unidentified ballistic missiles launched by DPRK toward the East Sea at around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday (local time). The missiles were fired from areas north of Pyongyang and flew approximately 350 kilometers.
The military said it has strengthened surveillance and monitoring in preparation for possible additional launches and is maintaining a full readiness posture. ■
