PHNOM PENH, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia exported 596,341 tons of milled rice to international markets in the first nine months of 2025, up 33.7 percent from 445,913 tons over the same period last year, according to the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF) on Friday.
The Southeast Asian nation made almost 409 million U.S. dollars in revenue from the exports of milled rice from January to September this year, up 21.9 percent from 335.4 million dollars over the same period last year, the CRF said in a news release.
Fifty-seven companies had shipped milled rice to 69 countries and regions during the above-mentioned period this year, the news release said, adding that China was still one of the key buyers of the commodity.
The kingdom exported 143,187 tons of milled rice to China during the first nine months this year, earning gross revenue of 85 million dollars, the news release said.
CRF's secretary general Lun Yeng said 68.81 percent of the exported rice was fragrant rice, 16.18 percent was white rice, 2.44 percent was parboiled rice, 1.88 percent was organic rice, 10.13 percent was broken rice, and 0.56 percent was other types of rice. ■
