HONG KONG, June 27 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted Hindu Kush Region, Afghanistan, at 13:34:52 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 191.9 km, was initially determined to be at 36.47 degrees north latitude and 70.83 degrees east longitude. ■
