MISANO ADRIATICO, Italy, June 13 (Xinhua) -- French rider Valentin Debise of China's ZXMOTO claimed victory in Race 1 of the FIM Supersport World Championship at the Emilia-Romagna Round on Saturday, securing his sixth win of the season with the Chinese manufacturer.

Debise moves up to second place in the riders' standings with 188 points, overtaking Spanish rider Masia. ZXMOTO remains third in the manufacturers' table with 190 points.

In the Superpole race held on the 12th, Debise finished third, earning a front-row start for Race 1.

When the race began, Debise held third place, trailing behind Yamaha riders Oncu and Arenas. In the early stages, the three riders pulled away from the rest of the field to form a leading group.

By Lap 9, Oncu gradually dropped down behind the fight for the race win, narrowing it down to just two riders, Debise and Arenas. On the final lap, the two exchanged the lead multiple times, with Debise ultimately making a crucial overtake to cross the finish line first and secure the victory.

Arenas and Oncu finished second and third, respectively. ZXMOTO's other rider Federico Caricasulo finished in ninth place, while QJMOTOR rider Raffaele De Rosa finished 16th.

Debise told Xinhua that the race was very competitive. "Winning is never easy, and I had to put in a lot of effort," he said.

Speaking about the adaptation with the bike, Debise said, "The more we go on, the closer we get to understanding the bike. I really enjoy riding it and I feel comfortable."

He also thanked the team for their technical adjustments. Earlier at the Aragon round, high temperatures posed certain challenges, but those issues have been resolved at this round, and the bike has returned to normal condition, said Debise.

Race 2 of the Emilia-Romagna Round is scheduled for Sunday. ■
