HONG KONG, April 28 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong Disneyland Resort on Tuesday announced that the resort recorded a net profit of 536 million Hong Kong dollars (about 68.39 million U.S. dollars) in the fiscal year 2025.
Hong Kong Disneyland Resort shared its business results for the fiscal year 2025 (Sept. 29, 2024 to Sept. 27, 2025) and the latest resort developments.
The resort recorded revenue of 8,694 million Hong Kong dollars and EBITDA amounting to 1,989 million Hong Kong dollars. By the end of the fiscal year 2025, the resort had fully repaid the outstanding balance of term loans from its shareholders and is now free of loans for the first time in its history, underscoring the resort's solid financial position.
Total attendance at the resort was 7.5 million. Per capita guest spending is up 2 percent over the prior year. Hotel performance remained solid, with overall occupancy increasing six percentage points to 79 percent.
In addition, the expansion project of the resort is progressing steadily, with Pixar-themed and Marvel-themed attractions to be introduced in the near future.
Tim Sypko, managing director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, said that, supported by a growing base of Disney fans across key markets and a strong pipeline of new and innovative offerings, the resort is optimistic about its long-term prospects. (1 U.S. dollar equals 7.83 Hong Kong dollars) ■
