SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Two men were killed after a small plane crashed Tuesday in the Black Canyon area east of Emmett in the U.S. state of Idaho, local authorities said.
The Gem County Sheriff's Office said the aircraft struck a power line at around 11 a.m. (1800 GMT) during flight before plunging into an icy section of a river.
Law enforcement officers, along with county fire and emergency services personnel, responded to the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
The incident also led to a power outage across eastern Gem County. ■
