TASHKENT, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- In January-August 2025, Uzbekistan's poultry meat imports increased by 14.2 percent year-on-year, the National Statistics Committee said in a statement on Friday.
"According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, in January-August 2025, 54,600 tons of poultry meat worth 59.1 million U.S. dollars were imported into Uzbekistan from 16 foreign countries," the statement said.
"The volume of imports increased by 6,800 tons or about 14.2 percent compared to the corresponding period last year," the committee noted.
According to the committee, Russia was Uzbekistan's top poultry meat supplier during this period with 13,900 tons, followed by Türkiye with 9,800 tons and Belarus with 7,000 tons.
In the first eight months of 2025, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached 51.4 billion dollars, up 19.8 percent year-on-year, the committee said in September. ■
